Trace level: when any type of potentially hazardous weather begins, services from the contractor will begin with chemical or mechanical removal of the snow and/or ice accumulation until the snow or ice event has ceased.
Incremental trigger depth levels by inches of accumulation: the most common trigger depths are 0.5", 1.5" and 2.0", but they can be customized to fit the needs of the client. Usually when a trigger depth is chosen, clearing operations do not being until the accumulation has ceased. In the event of a major snow fall (more than 4" of accumulation), clearing operations will begin at the four-inch accumulation level. Clearing major traffic paths will be done to the best of the contractor’s ability. Snow and ice management will also include full-width plowing will be done upon cessation of accumulating snow or when the contractor deems it necessary in order to keep up with accumulations in a timely manner.
